For our client, Estée Lauder, we are looking for an Executive Finance Manager - Supply Chain & Global Distribution EMEA. This position is part of the growth story that continues in the organisation.

In this role you will be part of the executive level within the group, reporting directly to the VP Finance in the US. In addition, you will take charge of one direct report, who will give you support in financial reporting & annual budget and monthly estimate.

Your challenge

You develop and coordinate global implementation/ modification of distribution financial metrics and governance for operational improvement: 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of distribution finance metrics and governance in an evolving omnichannel environment. 
  • Challenge current policies to develop globally aligned standards for distribution financial reporting to evaluate operational performance. In doing so gain alignment with Senior Supply Chain Finance, Global VP of distribution and Logistics and other key stakeholders.  
  • Influence, socialize, and inform the global finance community of changes in global distribution reporting. Directly for EMEA, TR and UK regions and via regional Supply Chain Finance leads for Americas and APAC.
  • Highlight impact of any changes on the budget process on a global basis (overlay) for Senior Finance and Supply Chain management in New York.
  • Monitor compliance with distribution global standards in collaboration with Global Supply Chain Finance.

Oversee financial reporting for EMEA hubs (Oevel and Czech) warehouse, distribution and logistics (in cooperation with the local finance manager) 

Annual Budget/Monthly Estimate (in cooperation with the local finance manager) 

Strategic projects EMEA warehouse, distribution, and logistics

  • Work with and influence senior Supply Chain Distribution leadership on EMEA warehouse, distribution, and logistics strategies.
  • You’ll give expertise in the transaction structure for EMEA distribution with understanding of legal, tax and duty implications for the flow of goods.
  • Responsible for the set up and maintenance of these transaction flows for the EMEA Hub operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring the coordination and leverage of other regional strategies (TR, UK) that have geographical overlap.
  • Prepare and/or review financial models and templates of various strategic scenarios for EMEA to determine reasonableness and accuracy for evaluation.
  • Review financial performance of strategic initiatives and coordinates with senior Supply Chain leadership to maximise opportunities and minimise risks.
  • Finance support for the integration of new brands into EMEA hub distribution model.
  • Partner with other finance and operational leadership in the development of Oevel site master plans.

Your profile

This role requires some specific skills and experiences:


  • 10 years of experience in finance or accounting
  • A strong experience in FP&A activities within distribution/supply chain 
  • By preference, you have expertise in the world of Online Channels & Direct to Consumer approach
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with SAP or another large automated accounting system
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and transfer pricing

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate & present towards Executive C-Level
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex international distribution/logistics environment
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to successfully deal with conflict, gain alignment and resolution.
  • Not afraid to challenge and change the status quo and come up with alternative solutions
