We are pleased to invite you to our round table breakfast session dedicated to the evolving regulatory expectations under the Private Investigations Act (PIA) / Wet op de Private Opsporing (WPO). We will focus particularly on Articles 64 and 65: the correct preparation of investigation reports and the mandatory Internal Regulation, which must be in place by 16 December 2026.
A peer-to-peer session on evolving regulatory expectations
During this session, we will explore key elements related to reporting obligations, communicating suspicions of fraud to the Board, required follow-up steps, and the broader impact on governance and internal processes. We will also discuss the concept of legitimate interest ("gerechtvaardigd belang"), Article 101 ("op straffe van nietigheid"), and the implications for HR departments, Internal Audit, and investigations in the context of whistleblower reports.
Together with peers, you will have the opportunity to exchange best practices, clarify grey areas, and discuss how organizations can efficiently integrate these requirements into their existing frameworks.
This peer-to-peer session, enriched with concrete cases, offers an excellent opportunity for discussion and learning in an engaging and informal setting, while enjoying a delicious breakfast.
Our round table breakfast session will be led by Sonny Luypaert, President of ACFE Belgium, supported by Annemie Pelgrims, TriFinance Risk Practice Leader.
