Senior Accountant for our client in Antwerp

For our client, a leading international player within Logistics & Transport, we are looking for a Senior Accountant. They offer a wide range of services, including international relocations, container terminal operations, warehousing, and more.
The group is active in Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia with multiple locations across several countries. They combine the strength of an international group with the warm, accessible character of an SME.
Your challenge
- Daily processing of purchase invoices and bank transactions
- Following up on and executing payments to suppliers
- Preparing and following up on tax returns (VAT returns, Intracommunity statements, recovery of foreign VAT, annual client listing, etc.)
- Assisting with year-end adjustments, performing checks, and making corrections where necessary
- Supporting colleagues in Assistant Accountant roles regarding VAT and accounting entries, as well as training staff on using new digital tools and systems
- Identifying opportunities for digitization and automation within financial processes
- Leading projects to implement new digital tools and systems
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent through experience
- A few years of experience in a similar role
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and administrative skills
- Extensive knowledge of Excel; experience with Navision and Power BI is a plus
- Strong communication skills with an excellent knowledge of Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
