Your challenge

As a Cybersecurity Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in assessing and strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity posture. You combine technical security expertise with internal audit methodology to evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT and cybersecurity controls. You will work across different domains such as risk assessment, penetration testing, cloud security, governance, compliance, and continuous auditing.

Specifically, you will:

• Conduct risk-based cybersecurity audits to assess control effectiveness, identify vulnerabilities, and evaluate cyber risks across technology environments and business processes.
• Assess network architectures, cloud environments, IAM models, and security governance frameworks against regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls through reviews of penetration testing, red-team exercises and SIEM monitoring.
• Review incident response, vulnerability management, and third-party security processes to identify control gaps, assess risk exposure, and determine control maturity.
• Develop risk-based audit findings, recommend remediation actions, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance cybersecurity resilience and risk management.

Your profile

Your profile

• Degree in IT, cybersecurity, engineering or business with 3–5 years experience in IT/cyber security audits. CISO certification is a must.
• Solid knowledge of networks, cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), IAM, endpoint security and logging/monitoring. Experience in penetration testing is a must. 
• Familiarity with internal audit methodology and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, CIS, DORA, GDPR. 
• Motivated to combine technical cybersecurity expertise with internal audit responsibilities.
• Fluent in Dutch with good English proficiency (French is a plus)
