Data-driven working and management reporting
Your challenges
- Reporting requires significant resources, and gaining data insights is complex.
- Difficulties in translating scattered and inconsistent data into actionable insights.
- Creating support and engagement during change and implementation.
TriFinance supports public and non-profit organizations in strategically using data through reporting, dashboards, and knowledge building, enabling better decision-making, policy development, process adjustments, and process implementation.
Our vision and approach
Data-driven work goes beyond data and tools, it requires shared insights, clear definitions, and engagement at all levels. TriFinance helps public and non-profit organizations leverage data strategically to improve management, decision-making, and accountability.
Our approach is grounded in the reality of your organization. We integrate reporting within the BBC and PDCA cycles and organizational governance, developing clear, reliable dashboards and KPI reports tailored to your operations and ambitions.
We transform scattered, raw data into accessible insights. By standardizing processes and implementing user-friendly tools, we enhance decision-making and increase transparency. Our co-creative approach ensures the involvement of all relevant stakeholders, enabling your organization to evolve step by step towards sustainable, data-driven operations.
Reporting is more than adding up numbers—it's a tool to understand, manage, and strengthen your organization. When integrated into your processes, customized reports provide valuable insights into your organization’s financial, strategic, and operational performance.

A blueprint for data-driven success
Successfully developing and implementing reporting tools depends on several critical success factors. TriFinance identifies these and guides your organization towards the desired level of maturity in data-driven operations.
- Vision
A clear vision highlights both the added value of data-driven work and the risks of neglecting it. This vision forms the foundation for any transformation. - People & culture
Employees bring data-driven work to life. By strengthening competencies, such as developing, monitoring, and analyzing KPIs, we build a broadly supported approach that becomes embedded in the organization. - Processes & systems
Standardized and automated processes ensure reliable data and increase efficiency. The data from your systems forms the foundation for consistent and trustworthy reporting. - Digital toolbox
High-performance systems, a solid data architecture, and the right tools are essential for making insights readily and sustainably accessible.
Together, these pillars form the backbone of a successful transition to a data-driven organization.

Tailored Solutions for Complex Data Challenges
Not all research questions or policy needs can be captured in a standard reporting tool. That's why TriFinance offers smart, tailored solutions for both ad hoc and recurring questions, for local governments as well as other public organizations such as Flemish agencies, social housing companies, and non-profit organizations.
The BBC cycle requires additional budgeting, reporting, and simulations at specific times, based on the self-financing margin (SFM). To streamline these critical but time-consuming processes, our toolbox offers two targeted solutions:
- Realization rate booster: Provides multi-year insights into budget realizations and forms the basis for a sharp and well-founded budgeting process.
- Simulation tool(MATsim): Delivers clear insight into the multi-year financial planning and its impact on the self-financing margin It enables fast and flexible scenario adjustments and is also suited for simulating amendments to the multi-year plan.
Data-driven work isn't about collecting numbers, it's about creating insight, building support, and strengthening your organization for the future.

A usable environmental analysis
A practical and usable environmental analysis is the foundation for planning and adjusting policy. Experience in the field shows that it is not always easy for local governments to implement this effectively. The abundance of information often makes it challenging to determine the right focus. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on developing a targeted and usable environmental analysis, based on the right data.
Process for developing an environmental analysis
The goal is to move from policy challenges to concrete policy alternatives using accurate and relevant data. To determine the exact data needs, it is essential to have a clear view of the key policy challenges and themes that matter - according to the administration, political leadership, and residents. With a clear and structured step-by-step approach, we translate policy challenges into actionable policy alternatives.
- Kick-off meeting
In the initial meeting, we jointly outline the planning and make concrete agreements about the preliminary analysis and data collection phases. The path your organization has already taken is a key factor in shaping our approach. - Preliminary Analysis
Using a simple survey, we gather insights within your administration on existing policy challenges. The survey results, combined with a quick scan of the current multi-year plan, form the basis for identifying the necessary data and level of stakeholder participation. - Data Collection Phase
In this phase, we collect and visualize the data related to the identified policy challenges. This is also when solution-oriented participation sessions take place. - Final processing
The management team works with the collected data and the input from the participation sessions. The preferred policy alternatives are substantiated and integrated into the final environmental analysis.

Partnership with Urban Connector
To effectively gather and process input from residents, TriFinance has partnered with Urban Connector, a specialist in community participation and neighborhood communication. Using design thinking methods, participants in the sessions are encouraged to actively work on solutions that address their needs and concerns.
