At TriFinance, we thrive to keep our knowledge at the highest level. We are being offered to follow internal training and get opportunities to follow external training to further our development. In the Data & Analytics team, having a focus on the Microsoft Power BI offering, we need to continuously translate new functionalities in order to advise our customers.
In September last year, I had the great opportunity to follow the course Mastering Dax in Amsterdam, given by SQLBI. For your information, the guys from SQLBI are the Ronaldo’s or Messi’s in the Dax world. Their videos have helped me a lot during my career and now being trained by them was a real honor.
I used the knowledge I gained in projects and at the internal knowledge circles in one of the exercises we did at the Mastering Dax course. I shared my solution with the trainer, which was different from his solution. At that time, I did not realize how ‘big’ this way of working was, but he took a screenshot and a few weeks later the following article was posted! We scored an alternative solution to Marco Russo and Alberto Ferrari!
This made me not only very proud of myself, I was especially proud of being part of a great team. This is a score for the team, where knowledge sharing is one of the key elements!
